HeartBreath is a biofeedback tool designed to explore the relationship between breathing and heart rate. It guides users through a simple slow-breathing exercise, using pictures and sounds, while detecting and displaying the intervals between heartbeats. The app allows users to measure, train, and evaluate their personal status without the need for additional hardware devices. HeartBreath can detect heartbeats by placing a finger on the lens of the phone's camera.

The app offers several key features:

 <li>Integrated VaYou Sound Flows for an exceptional sound experience during acoustic pacing.</li>
 <li>High-quality and customizable control of the biofeedback exercise using pictures (including those from your photo library) and sounds.</li>
 <li>Live display of current heart rate and variability values during recording.</li>
 <li>Ability to compute resting heart rate in just a few breaths.</li>
 <li>No additional hardware required; heart rate calculation works with a finger on the lens of the iPhone's or iPod's camera (or on iPad devices with flash). External heart rate monitors, such as Polar H10, are also supported.</li>
 <li>Precise visualization of every single heartbeat, with tools for interactive correction if needed.</li>
 <li>Integrated tools to determine optimal breathing speed based on individual optimal RSA breathing rates (between 4 and 7 breaths per minute).</li>
 <li>Trend evaluations over longer periods of time.</li>
 <li>Integration with the Apple Health app.</li>
</ul>

HeartBreath prioritizes privacy by not requiring registration and ensuring that user session data is only stored on their phone, giving users full control over their data.
